If you are wanting to tour Colonial Wiliamsburg and know nothing of the history, this is the book to read. Its accuracy of the landmarks is uncanny. The author must have lived in the area and new it well to have written it so clearly. Then tour Williamsburg and re-read the book , you will immediately recognize the places. One of those deja vu moments. This is a childs book, but as a homeschooling mom I fully enjoyed the captivating story, with my then 12 & 9 year old. Coupled with our tour two years in a row to Colonial Williamsburg it truly filled our historical appetite.
