If you want pictures then this is the book for you. There isn't must text, but then again the book explains its intentions with its clear meaning titles. Yes the pictures are of excellent quality and there is a nice one of Nancy Barrett in vampire form, but there isn't much imformation. Worse sometimes the caption below the picture lists a different actor than the one shown. Its a small complaint. This is a great source for pictures, but not much else.

Prominent 70's book on scary movies.
Wonderful British take on horror movies from the inception of cinema to the early 1970's. Mainly this is light reading, written with some wit, but it hits on all the important horror films and many of the interesting obscure ones. Studio films and independents are both covered. Profusely illustrated with photos and poster reproductions, many in color. A must-read book.
