Thus moiwrti is a Trisyllable, njtJw, a Monosyllable, yio-iui, Ttv%ia, Dissyllable, and in Homer, UrirmccSiu of five Syllables: Mwiv dnSt, (r)iol, nriXri.'xoiui 'AyjXyo;, Lam cane, Deer, Pelidit Achillis. Which (hews Plutarch's Oversight in censuring this Verse as too licentious and redundant of a Syllable. The fame also happens sometimes to Imparifyllabics, whether simple or contract, likewise to Pronouns, and even to Participles, as -roXiac for -roWiac, multos; ta%ta, muri; Gncriui, of Theseus; ufuiim, fingi.
