This is a well written book, and covers the time from early settlement into the late 1900's. Much of the military history of Canada
would be contained in their "militia." Records of these units, normally formed in one county seem to be nonexistant. At the time of action
individuals or maybe the entire county militia would sign up for duty.
Generally most action has been with volunteer soldiers. A good background is obtained to start looking further for more specific action.
