Robert G. Torbet's "A History of the Baptists" should be read and in the library for reference of pastors, Sunday School teachers, seminary and college professors, and serious Bible students. The book is well-written and contains accurate information. The book has 553 pages in three parts: Baptist Beginnings, British and European Baptists, and American Baptists. The book also contains excellent appendices including a bibliography, though not exhaustive, is sufficient.
