Being an alphabetical list of miniaturists, illuminators, calligraphers and copyists with a brief biography for each person. First thus, the first edition of this reprint. Undated, dated using Copac. This is a loyal reprint of Bradley's original 1887-1879 work which details numerous individuals involved in book and manuscript production. Bradley also gives examples of each person's works. Published as a part of Burt Franklin's biographical series, this work is number 8 in this series. In the original full cloth bindings. Externally, very smart with a small amount of rubbing and bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spines. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
