Eck and Winterrowd embody love of Vermont, the environment, each season, their relationship, and above all plants and planting. There are many ways to approach this wonderful work, but I like to read it through, and then let it rest for a year or so, read it through again, and then, best of all, read each month as it comes up on the calendar.
