This is a beautiful book and the personal stories are interesting and touching. I was surprised that so many of the recipes call for cheese and/or cream. I have family members who are lactose intolerant, so I won't be using many of the recipes. I was also surprised to see recipes calling for canned soup and cake mix. I use neither. The tips on entertaining are interesting.
