The millenium is without doubt one of the most "out there" teachings of the Bible. The virgin birth, the parting of the red sea, and the resurrection of Jesus are all supernatural events, but I guess they have, at least in the church, become the accepted building blocks on which we base our faith. And it is easier to accept these pillars of our faith because they are history. But what is truly amazing, and hard to comprehend, is that the baby born in a manger, who never sought an earthly kingdom, but was crucified by His enemies, is prophesied to come back in the near future to rule over Israel and the whole Earth for one thousand years.
