What a book from beginning to end
Erin comes from a home of abuse. She watched from a closet as her Father killed her Mother. She finds she cannot deal with a baby and leaves her baby with the Dad and runs away. She become a well known photographer through World View and gets injured. They call her husband and she is moved from New York to Teaxas to heal under the care of her husband and daughter who has never known her Mother. Erin begins to heal and discovers what it is like to be in a loving family.
I loved how Erin tried so hard to run from her past and used it for good. In her photographs were images of God's creation to people who viewed them. She had not seen her sister or brother in 25 years. I'll not give that part away. There is so much about this book that it captures you from beginning to end.
I am dealing with my daughter's partner trying to get his children out of an abusive family and even though Mae meant this to be a book to help people see what soldiers have to deal with who are injured in Iraq, it ministered to me today and encouraged me as we face a situation that could put an 8 and 9 year old in danger. There is so much inspiration and uplift you can get from it.
