Unfortunately for me,, I find myself skimming through to the last few pages in Anne Perry's latest books. She has abandoned her simple mysteries and substituted political intrigues that are plainly, boring. This book has an exceptionally ludricrous plot. I won't give it away, but the reasoning behind the activities of the characters has no plausibility. I much prefer Perry's earlier novels. They were shorter and way more interesting than Ms. Perry's venture into the political arena.
