An Easy Thoughtful Read
I was very pleased with the book. It was what I hoped it would be. Before purchasing a copy I was unable to find much in the way of online reviews for it and did not know what to expect. Dilys Gater did a lot of excellent background research on her subject. Much of the content is also based on her interaction with this spirit as a psychic medium. I find the contents completely believable because during the quiet of Covid shelter in place I had the same encounter without knowing anything about Dilys' book or experience. I would not be putting this in a review if the review was not anonymous and have only shared my experience with a few people.
I found one review of the book on Amazon before I found a place to buy it. One thing the review did not make clear this is probably not the book a professional historian would want if writing a book or article about Vivien Leigh. It is rare and can be expensive to purchase in the United States. Based on the psychic nature of the book it is not something that would be expected to be referenced in a historical biography of the subject. However the chapters where Dilys provides information on Vivien Leigh's background may provide leads to the professional historian or interested researcher.
