Recently I wrote a damning review on Rankin's "Beggar's Banquet". I still think that collection of short stories is a mess, but there you have it. I am on the 15th or 16th or the John Rebus series, "A Question of Blood". It was superb, the best he has written, and a thriller for all 600 (large print) pages. If you like mysteries and you like Rankin, run, don't walk, to your computer and get a copy from Alibris (the best book dealer in the business).
