Describes the daily life of an Israeli soldier: lying in ambush in Lebanon for a group of terrorists reportedly on the way, and shooting rubber bullets at Palestinians who are throwing baseball-sized rocks in a protest on the West Bank in the opening months of the Intifada.
I'm one of the members of "Garin Pezer", the platoon of immigrants and of course, knew the author personally so I'm apt to be a bit biased. Although I don't share the author's bleeding heart politics, the book is accurate and entertaining and for me personally, very nostalgic.
