Excerpt from A Practical Treatise on Diseases of the Skin The rapid progress of dermatology has led to a more thorough comprehension of disease processes. The former conceptions of pathology and relationship of a number of diseases have required considerable modification. The assiduous observations of special workers have resulted in the recognition of several diseases which had previously been overlooked. Those which have been most accurately studied, or which are of somewhat frequent occurrence, have been briefly described in the present edition.
