Excerpt from A Picture of Greece in 1825, Vol. 1 of 2: As Exhibited in the Personal Narratives of James Emerson, Esq., Count Pecchio, and W. H. Humphreys, Esq.; Comprising a Detailed Account of the Events of the Late Campaign, and Sketches of the Principal Military, Naval, and Political Chiefs The following pages have been committed to the press more from a desire to present a faithful pic ture of Greece as it is at this moment, than from any feelings of personal gratification.
