Very Good. No Jacket. 148 pages (complete). A rare copy of this history of the 88th Connaught's mess silver. The Connaughts were well engaged in battle: in the Boer War for example they were involved at Colenso, Ladysmith, Spion Kop and Tugela Head. The boards are placid. They have sme wear and scuffing about from shelving and storage, some marks from handling. The Irish green boards have the 88th's insignia, in gilt, on the front. The spine has rubbed gilt titling and date of publication. The head and foot have wear. The spine is yet fit and contented. The contents are most pleasing. The pages are artistically untrimmed. These rough edges have wear and marks from storage. The pages are alert, clean, clear, bold, very confident, most diligent and dutiful, fresh-faced and fit. fk.
