This was hard to put down. It was most informative about the individuals- even though enemies in WWII.

Outstanding Book
This is one of the finest WW II books that I have read. It is a gripping human interest account of the experience of two combatants which should appeal even to those who normally avoid war stories.

An astounding true story
Of all the stories that have come from the air war during WWII, this is one of the most incredible. It reads like a well-written novel, but it's completely true.
I can't recommend this book too highly. My advice to anyone even remotely interested in World War II or military aviation is buy this book and read it. Then recommend it to your friends.
