Furthermore, the relationship between husband and wife must be understood in the light of that greater purpose. The author's hope is that this work will be useful to the saints of God. Our marriages are an excellent way in which we are able to share the truth and love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the on-looking world. The prayer of this author is that the Lord will fit us to be useful in his kingdom, and that he will bless our marriages to serve as faithful witnesses of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
