Fair. No Dust Jacket. A Fair copy (1829 owner's name) in apparently original full brown leather with red leather spine label. Covers rubbed, damp-staining to early pages and tanning to the paper throughout. The text is always legible with no prior owner's marks, and the binding is sound. This copy ends with page 240, lacking the blank endpaper, and with the Vocabulary of Chemical Terms at the rear ending with the second "Z" entry, for "Zero". A continuation page may thus also be missing. Several pages towards the center have tears at the foredge, but only one sheet (91-92) has minor text loss at the outer edge.
