'A Demigod' follows aa Eugenics programmes founded in Greece in the seventeenth century; in the late nineteenth century, this programme has created a Superman, who has extraordinary strength and intellect. This superman, named Hector Vyr, was compared by reviewers to Hercules, Theseus, and Perseus.
