While all the contents pertain to the Town of De Kalb in St Lawrence County New York, the articles included are a collection of the best articles that have appeared in the Williamstown Gazette (a publication of the Town of De Kalb Historical Association) over the last 20 years. They cover a wide array of topics from early settlement to abolition to mining, manufacturing, woman's suffrage and the 1940 war maneuvers. All articles were meticulously researched and documented. While two thirds of the articles were written by newsletter editor, and current De Kalb Twon Historian, Bryan Thompson, the remainder were authored by a wide array of local residents dating back almost 100 years.
