Father Tim Kavanaugh finally marries his love Cynthia. He is over 60 and the courtship is funny, wonderful and exciting. Many of the characters of the town of Mitford follow through, grow and change. They cause to reader to feel as though they are part of the town and one of the family. Some you may be able to pick out of your own town or city. Jan Karon is wonderful writer, able to keep your interest without resorting to rude remarks, gratuitious sex or back handed twisted plots that twist the reader up as well. These books, there are many in the series are still enjoyable the second and third time through. There is also an under plot of the reuniting of a troubled family torn apart by drugs and the redemption of the mother.. Wonderful
