Good way to learn the construction of Characters
My Chinese is poor, I'm a beginner in the language and it is a fairly difficult language to learn, especially since Pin-Yin (roman alphabet system for writing Chinese, pretty essential for computer users and used in China to ease the youngsters into reading and writing) is like an extra language on top! Chinese characters vary too, essentially the divide is "traditional" and "Simplified". Both sets to an Englishman are "complex".
Chinese characters are complicated, but the making of a character is simple, it is built from a number of "strokes" or lines/curves. The beauty of this practise pad is that you learn exactly how to draw the strokes in an efficient order. A simple idea and effective. Buy yourself a good "gel" pen and within days you will find that you really can write those seemingly impossible characters. For those of us that wish to learn, have little time and are daunted by the apparent complexity, the practise pad is a very big help.
