"A man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they twain shall be one flesh." Gen. 2: 24. Q. Was it ever permitted that a man should take the wife of another man as his own? A.. Never, from the beginning of the world. Q. Was it permitted that a woman should be married to the husband of another woman 1 A. It was practised, and it was not forbidden; " but from the beginning it was not so." St. Matt. 19: 8. Q.
