Seller's Description:
Very Good+ in Very Good jacket. Book. 8vo-over 7¾-9¾" tall. The account of a failed, so-called "officers' plot" against Hitler in 1944 that came within an instant of changing history. First printing. Pages show only a hint of browning and are fairly clean with no writing, marks, or underlining save for a neatly written inscription on the front free endpaper. No bookplates or remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. Pages 111 through 114 have a few small "chips" on the outer edges. Textblock edges are also slightly browned and have a few small spots. Dust jacket is clipped on the lower right corner, leaving the price intact on the upper right corner. Jacket also has significant edge wear, especially to the spine and front cover. This includes microtears, a 1/2" tear along the lower spine extreme, and a 1/2" x 1/2" gouge along the upper spine extreme. This collectible, very good+/very good first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
