While the great Mexican singer and songwriter has always been busy as a recording and touring artist, he has also been a prolific writer for other artists. This collection focuses on his own versions of those songs -- most of which were hits. Prime examples include the three tunes he wrote for Vicente Fernández, "La Derrota," "Amores Malditos," and "Un Millón de Primaveras," and his own version of "Las Mujeres Olvidadas," penned for Alicia Villarreal, that offers a male perspective on the lyrics.
