This book as 1001 films that people should see before they die, but some of their choices are down right laughable. I think if one can avoid seeing a Ben Stiller movie in their life time, that its a blessing.
Each film is listed with year given and general credits. A breif synopsis and usually a picture follow. There is also an explaination as to why a person must see this film, but some of their choices are so poor.
This is a quick read, but I doubt anyone will go out and search for some of these films. The fact that Ben Stiller's "Meet the Faulkers" was included just ruined the creditability for me. Certainly there are some good suggestions. The genres are all over the place and most people enjoy films within their own favorite genre. The best Western film in the world will not appease a Sci Fi fan.
Most of the films chosen are poor. This is more of a book to read if you are bored than for picking out a film.
