Whatman, double elephant, extra thick. 2. Whatman, double elephant, die d�nnere Gattung. 3. Harding paper, thick. Letzteres ist von weicherer Beschaffenheit, als die Whatman-Papiere, und verleiht verm�ge seiner milden Textur den Luftt�nen eine �beraus zarte Leuchtbarkeit. Hinreichend nass behandelt, lassen sich auf keinem andern Papiere breite Farbenlagen so fleckenlos herstellen. Eine d�nnere Gattung desselben Namens ist f�r kleine Dimensionen gut anwendbar. Beide haben im Gegensatze zu den oben genannten Papieren einen warmen, gelblichen Ton. 4. Creswick paper, ein gelbliches, m�ssig dickes Papier mit starkem und etwas weicherem Grain, als das Whatman, besonders geeignet f�r gr�ssere Dimensionen. 5. Griffin paper von Windsor & Newton, ohne Zweifel das beste aller Aquarellpapiere, aber auch das theuerste. Um bequemer und sauberer zu arbeiten, ist es n�thig, das Papier auf ein Bret zu spannen. Solche Bretter l�sst man am besten von starker oder doppelter Pappe anfertigen: dieselbe wirft sich nicht und ist, weil ohne Querleisten, leicht zu transportiren.
