I was expecting a book telling me how to prepare Native American traditional dishes, instead, the receipes have been adapted to the modern way-electric stoves, times, etc. When I read about the book I got excited because I thought I had found something we could do when we camp, using it to teach Brownies, Girl and Boy Scouts how not only to live but eat well out of doors. If you live in a small town or no one hunts in the family it will be hard to find some of the ingredients that some of the receipes call for. They are some good receipes in the book if you don't have any cook books this might be one for you to experiment with. It makes a good conversation piece!
