The Appendix includes many basic electricity and electronic concepts as well as mathematical derivations that are not vital to the understanding of the circuit being discussed in the text at that time. Also some derivations might be so long that, if included in the text, it could affect the concentration of the student on the circuit being studied. The author has tried to make the book comprehensive enough so that a student could use it as a self-study course, providing one has access to adequate laboratory equipment.

This book is a must have for anyone learning or has just starting working Electronics again. The books approach of understanding electronics via wave analysis will open up your understanding to circuit analysis. A good understanding of DC and AC Electronics is needed. The learning of Electronic Devices would be easier when this book is used along side your studies. Has a great reference section at the end of the book as well.
