Not Up To Par
First, let me say that I love, love, love Lisa Scottoline books. Normally. I listened to this book on audio and I'm glad I did. I don't think I would have finished it otherwise. The plot for this book had such potential. It started going downhill for me when the protagonist started obsessing about her boss "Marcelo". Inappropriate under the circumstances. I mean, really, she might be losing her child, who she professes to adore and she's worried about getting laid.
I am not a big fan of romance in thrillers and this one had too much of it for me. Some of the passages were like a Harlequin Romance. Not that there's anything wrong with people who like that type of book. But, Lisa Scottoline, I thought better of you.

look, look!
Thought it was a bit better than good. Had stopped reading Scottoline's novels when she stopped writing about the familiar female legal characters. This is my first time back and I enjoyed it.
