This is a long book as compared to most current
mystery/fiction go. Such books have to be written
extremely well, never dull. Third Degree is just
such a book. Mr. Isles developes very strong characters engaging in real, and sometimes frightening activities.

Is this Iles?
A sorry excuse of a book from a fine writer. You will be trying like the devil to find yourself caring for either of the main characters, a husband and wife, who are both so shallow you will be left very disappointed. Self centered characters who apparently care not a bit about the children in their lives . I have enjoyed many of Iles books and they are page-turners but I could not really even get the feeling I was reading one of this author's books. Rather smutty content that has not been needed in his other writings also. An author I generally go out and buy without reading any reviews disappoints this time.
