Andy Pickard, Ranger
This is another of the Andy Pickard ranger stories. And as with almost all of Elmer Kelton's work will not disappoint. Andy finds himself a newly reappointed ranger on the trail of the Luther Cordell who escapes from the county jail along with two companions who were being held for bank robbery. This one has several surpising twists. A good enough read from one of the best who ever put the west, especially the Texas west, on paper.
