New. Size: 4to 11"-13" tall; Brand-new, still in shrink-wrap that has begun to tear and separate a bit but that has been in a box since having been purchased straight from the publisher. Neither shelf-nor edge-worn, neither sunned nor marked as a remainder. Light gray paper over boards, blue buckram cloth-backed, with white lettering to spine. Illustrated paper label pasted to front cover. Published in First Edition state by the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, Texas, to mark the exhibition of the finest works of Georg Baselitz. Tall octavo in format, dubbed an "Imperial" octavo, featuring heavy stock endpapers. There is a Foreword by Marla Price, a section devoted to Acknowledgments by Michael Auping, and Auping also contributes a fine essay devoted to Baselitz's work and place in the canon. There is a checklist of the Exhibition, and a selected bibliography. Unpaginated, but probably 80 pp., divided into three sections (paintings, prints, and drawings). Over 20 fine plates, including the black-and-white of Elke at frontis.
