I LOVED THIS TRILOGY ABOUT JOSEPHINE. I LOVED THE JOURNAL FORMAT WHICH REALLY HELPED TO IMAGINE HOW JOSEPHINE REALLY FELT ABOUT NAPOLEAN. THE NEXT TWO BOOKS ARE JUST AS GOOD.

Addictive
Once I started reading this book, I had great difficulty putting it down. It flows nicely and keeps your interested even though there is a generous helping of historical fact. I felt involved with the characters, especially Josephine, and was tremendously eager to finish the three books in the set.

The best in historical fiction
If you like historical novels, you will love this one. The first in a series of three, Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B, is a joy to read. Written as if it is her journal, you will learn of Josephine's life on Martinique and how she comes to France. You will be transported to the turbulent time of the French Revolution and discover her role in history. This novel ends with her meeting Napoleon. A must for anyone who loves history, France or romance.
