This has been carried out wisely and not too well, and leaves the curiously irregular architecture to tell its own story This is plain enough and interesting enough for the lover of church architecture to read without assistance, but his attention should be called to the oolite quoins of the tower, and to the tiles which are built into the substance Of it. The tiles are probably, and the oolite very possible, Roman material. We Shall find instances of both in other places, notably in S. Mildred's Church (see sec.
