The Light Years
The Light Years is the first of the Cazleletchronicles, the story of an aristocratic British family before and during World War.2 The Light Years has an excellent sense of time and place, and alternates between London, and the family's country house.There are so many characters that they tend to be confusing, and seems slow at times due to the character's inner dialogues taking precedence over plot development. It depicted the relationships between the family members very well, and how they were affected by the time and place in which they lived.It's worth sticking with in spite of being slow at times
