Allan Ahlberg and Bruce Ingman's book, The Pencil, is a straightforward yet creative read. Children will see examples of where their imaginations can go with the pencil. It's nice to see a plot that encourages kids to use their imaginations and creativity to pass the time. This book is a great illustration of how writing can be most effectively simple. The Pencil is a book that kids, parents, and educators should all enjoy.
I have read similar books on https://shabd.in/ too.

Old favorite
The original family copy was lost before the child who is receiving this was born, so it will be a new adventure for her.

As fasr as I know my nephew and his wife like the book for their son. I gave it for his first birthday so he can't tell me much. Shipping and condition of book was just fine. Quick and in perfect shape. What more can I say?

Missed It As A Kid
I bought the book after heaing on The Bob Edwards Show that it had been put to music and that most people had had the book as a kid. Somehow, I missed out and had never heard of it. Then come to find out that my kids are reading it to their kids!! It is a good bed time story and actually does seem ageless. The illistrations are cute and following the mouse is one of the things that kids I now read it to like to do. The book was a library book and I like to buy books previously from libraries (and part of the purchase price went to a library). It is in excellent condition. I would recommend this book to young parents or other "kids" who missed out long ago.

Beloved book by several generations
This precious story by Margaret Wise Brown is a classic spanning generations of children for a reason-it is so sweet! The moon is a special icon to children, and night time is a good time to read to them. Naturally, a story about a touchstone is beloved. As a child, I never owned it, but borrowed it from the library bookmobile many times. As a grandmother, I still love it, and read it to my grandchildren often. They love it just as much as I, and it generates a lot of fascinating discussion with them. I highly recommend it for parents, grandparents and children.
