Stephen R. Forrest

Stephen R. Forrest is Peter A. Franken Distinguished University Professor at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prof. Forrest has received a number of awards for his work, including the Thomas Alva Edison Award for innovations in organic LEDs, the MRS Medal, the IEEE/LEOS William Streifer Scientific Achievement Award, the Jan Rajchman Prize from the Society for Information Display, the IEEE Daniel Nobel Award, and the IEEE Jun-Ichi Nishizawa Medal. He holds an honorary doctorate at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Inventors.
