Sheema Kalbasi is an Iranian-American poet, literary translator, and researcher. Her work has garnered recognition, including a humanitarian award from the United Nations in Pakistan, as well as grants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. In 2012, Senator LGen the Hon. Roméo Dallaire of Quebec, Canada, concluded his speech on Iran by reciting excerpts from her poem "Hezbollah."
