PAT DURBIN, Quilter and Fiber Artist Pat Durbin's work communicates the beauty and warmth of quilted art. Most works are inspired by the beauty of the creation-landscapes and special people. The familiar medium of fabric and thread are the tools used which bridge the gap between fine art painting and traditional quilts. Techniques often vary, but the love of fabric and art flow through each piece. Pat's quilts often travel to shows across the country and have shown internationally. Some quilts are in private collections and Forest Walk is part of the permanent collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY. Pat enjoys teaching a type of quilting which is somewhat different than traditional methods. She has written 3 books teaching different techniques.
