Panamarenko

Panamarenko was born in Antwerp, Belgium. In 1965, he produced his first collages for Happening News, the first happenings carried out in Antwerp. He built his first airplane, Flugzeug, in 1967. His work has been celebrated the world over, and can now be seen regularly at the new Antwerp Airship Building of Engineer Panamarenko, an artist's atelier and exhibition space.
