Moniza Alvi
Born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1954, Moniza Alvi teaches English part-time at a girls' school in South London. Her first collection of poems The Country at my Shoulder (OPB, 1993) led to her being chosen as one of the New Generation' of poets.
