Michael Humfrey

Michael Humfrey was born on a banana estate in Grenada. He joined the British Colonial Police Service and served as an Assistant Superintendent in what was then the Uganda Protectorate. He returned to the Caribbean four years later. He is an authority on marine molluscs and author of Sea Shells of the West Indies.
