Matthew S. Cohen is an assistant professor of practice in the Political Science and Public Policy Department at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. He earned his PhD in political science at Northeastern University, and holds an ALM with a concentration in government from Harvard University, and a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University with a dual major in politics and sociology. Matthew served as a consultant for the Cyber Security Project at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He has previously published on cyber-security policy, Russian foreign policy, international relations theory, delegitimization and lawfare, Israeli security policy, Turkish-Israeli relations, and Turkish politics. Before entering academia, Matthew worked at the local, state, and federal levels of American government, including over seven years at the Massachusetts State House as a research and budget director.
