Joseph Ben-David
Joseph Ben-David (1920-1986) was, concurrently, George Wise Professor of Sociology at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Stella M. Rowley Professor of Education and Sociology at the University of Chicago. His widely read book, "The Scientist's Role in Society", gives a sociological account of the changing fortunes of science. Gad Freudenthal is a research associate at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris.
