Joann Hampar's career in astrology began in 1983 when she was hired as a staff writer for American Astrology Magazine in New York City. Her first book was published in 1993 by the American Federation of Astrologers and addressed a simplified method of reading one's birth chart. Hampar studied at the American School of Astrology in New York City, and earned a Certificate in Horary and Electional Astrology from the Gilbert Navarro - Ivy Jacobson School in Horary and Electional Astrology. She is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers, Theosophical Society, Association for Research and Enlightenment and Asia Society. See less
