Dr. Kreslyn Kelley-Ellis (affectionately known as Dr. Kreslyn) is an Empowerment Coach, Educator, Speaker, Consultant, Author, Servant Leader, and Founder & CEO of Premier Leadership Academy, Inc. She was born to a teenage mother and father in Memphis, TN. September 27, 1970 and was raised in Huntsville, AL by her mother and stepfather, who worked hard to provide for her and five other siblings in a very blended household. Dr. Kreslyn was diagnosed with Crohn's disease as a teenager and was terminally ill for most of her high school years. She was a single parent for several years of her adult life, and has known poverty first hand. She stands strong in her faith because she attributes that to her breaking free from all the chains that kept her bound in the early years of her life. Her life experiences, challenges, and victories are what spark her passion for loving and supporting as well as challenging others to fight to overcome hardship, particularly women, children, and the poor. On a professional note, Dr. Kreslyn retired as a school principal at a young age with a burning passion to fulfill her dreams of becoming a motivational speaker and of owning her own business, and she has never looked back. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1993 and during that time worked for Teledyne Brown Engineering for almost five years. She received her Master's in Education from Alabama A&M University in 1997, completed her Doctoral studies at Tennessee State University in 2003, and has since published several articles on the topic of education and co-authored several books in a new series called "My NOW." Her book, Fear Factor: Your 21 Day Journey to Freedom was released last year in May, 2015. Most of her writing is centered around themes like using one's faith or inner power; exercising courage; finding purpose; developing personal integrity, and offering visionary leadership. These are characteristics she find most useful in overcoming obstacles and living a life people desire. In addition to her duties of one-on-one coaching, writing, managing employees, conducting workshops and making speaking engagements, Dr. Kreslyn's enjoys reading, writing, cooking, traveling, watching the sunset and the sunrise, going to the movies, and strolls in the park. Her most important and favorite roles, however, are daughter of the Most High God, wife to Lorenzo, mother to Megan, Aaron, and AJ, grandmother to Caleb and Brandon, and friend. See less
