Webb received a B.S. degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and a Master of Forestry from Duke University. He spent thirty-five years in the field of wood coatings and wood preservation, and more than thirty of his technical articles on those subjects were published. He has bred, trained, field-trialed, shown and hunted Brittanys for some thirty years.
